Qualifications
Mr. Kaburu holds a Bachelor of Laws Honors degree (LLB. Hons) from Moi University and is a holder of Diploma in Law, from Kenya School of Law. He is a Licensed Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
Mr. Kaburu has specialized expertise in corporate and commercial law and has routinely advised and represented individual, corporate and governmental clients. He is experienced in policy and legislative drafting; state corporations laws and regulations; legal compliance audits, including implementation thereof; advisories on laws of other jurisdictions; tax structuring, tax saving measures available in Kenyan and other jurisdictions; tax compliance audits, review of weekly and monthly VAT returns audit and advisories on review and filing of income tax returns.
He also advices on regulatory regimes for establishing and operating businesses in various jurisdictions including advisories on EPAs, Anti-dumping laws and regulations, counter-veiling duties, drafting and legal vetting of various International agreements such as International Distribution and Agency Agreements, Contracts of Sale of goods, Concession Agreements, Service Provider Agreements, License and Franchise Agreements, Irrevocable Master Fee Protection Agreements, Non Circumvention and Non-Disclosure Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, Employment Agreements, EPC Agreements, etc.; cyber law and e-commerce, carbon trading and climate change financing, corporate restructuring of state private and public corporation as well as development of strategic plans for such entities.
