Qualifications

Mrs. Gitau holds a Bachelor of Laws Honors degree (LLB. Hons) from University of Nairobi and is a holder of Diploma in Law, from Kenya School of Law. She is a Licensed Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and Commissioner of Oaths. She also holds a diploma in Business Management from the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM)

Mrs. Gitau has specialized expertise in Commercial and Conveyancing law with broad and extensive experience in the areas of Property Law/ Real Estate, Banking and Corporate Law. She is accomplished in matters relating to banking securities (debentures, Charges, Chattels Mortgage etc.), structured commodity trade and finance and risk management.

Her areas of interest cover a broad spectrum of corporate finance through advice to companies on capital raising transactions either through entry of strategic investors, sale of assets, rights issue, private placements, initial public offers and secondary offers; legal advisory work in structures and models of companies through mergers, reconstructions, demergers and acquisitions as well as joint ventures; issuance of bonds/notes/debt instruments and asset backed securities; registration and setting up of various business entities including incorporation of companies, registration and establishment of trusts.

She has also advised and drafted various commercial agreements and contracts and is very polished in Legal research with a track record of formulation of exhaustive and far impacting professional opinions specializing in the fields of corporate, commercial and strategic management.
